Kuroda Gosun Ninjin (Carrots)/黒田五寸人参

Kuroda-Gosun ninjin (carrots), first grown in the Kuromaru area by Mr. Tadashi Kuroda of Omura, is a product of selective hybridization. These carrots are original to Omura. The root itself is 18-25 centimeters long and cylindrical shaped. The coloration is bright reddish-orange. Eaten raw, it is soft and slightly chewy. They are much sweeter than regular variety carrots making them good eaten raw or cooked. They have a high concentration of beta carotene. The quality of the Kuroda Gosun Ninjin is the best in Japan.
