Flower Festival

 

Omura is known as the city of flowers and there is no doubting that claim. Several areas of Omura are famous for gorgeous sights of colorful blossoms that span over half of the year. The main sight of the festival is Omura Park with a plethora of varying blossoms from the end of March to the middle of June. During this period, set from March 25 to June 20, people from all over the country visit the park. There are vendors selling food, drinks, candy, toys, and Omura specialty products. Here is a chart of flowers that can be seen in Omura Park and there usual bloom times:

There are also areas in rural Omura that you can see fields of Cosmos, Spider Lillies, Moss Phlox, Rape Blossoms, and Rhododendron. Cosmos bloom from September through November keeping Omura continually colorful!
